We have worked with other companies, but none compare to the Highland crew.
We had Highland reface our brick fireplace and convert it to gas. They did such a wonderful job that when it came to the kitchen renovation we got estimates from several other companies, but knowing the workmanship of the Highland crew made it very hard to choose anyone else. We did a total gut of our kitchen and removal of a wall. Dave, an owner, was a little concerned about the beam holding up the second floor. He called in an engineer who found that the support for the second floor was not sufficient. Highland made the necessary adjustments. The kitchen was finished in two months! We couldn't be happier. Every question was addressed. Each day Marty (construction foreman) came by to direct the workers and check the work. He spotted minor issues (a nail pop in the ceiling) that we didn't even notice. Each evening we received an email from Adam letting us know what was accomplished that day and what would be taking place the next. We went on vacation while they were working and we received pictures along with the email. It was so nice to have someone who we could contact and know that we would get an immediate answer. These guys are the best! The workers are meticulous, capable, polite, and friendly. They cleaned the area each day after completing work so there was no mess to deal with. We have worked with other companies, but none compare to the Highland crew. You're making a mistake if you go with anyone else.
